Test Preparation Topics:

The first word that comes to mind when it comes to preparation is ‘relax’. The ASSET test helps you in identifying the areas that need more stress on. Like for any other standardization test the student must relax before the ASSET test also. Never study and confuse yourself on the day of the exam. Don’t keep thinking about the test all the time. This will not help you in any way. Select a place where there are minimal distractions. Both physical and mental fitness is necessary for a good result. So keeping oneself fit is very important.

Always keep building up your vocabulary by adding new words to it. This will help a whole lot in the work knowledge section. Work out mathematical equations and practice them well. Improvise on the mechanical analysis skills. Keep regular preparation schedules everyday. It is better to study in a group of test takers or with a friend. The student must formulate a written study plan. This makes it easy to finish the planned tasks easily. For students who have taken the ASSET test earlier, review the scores and try discussing the scires with the academic advisor. Give more time to areas which are more dry and which the student feels hard to grasp.

Write down the books and other sources from which the student can get study material. Stick to the planned schedule always. The student must always think twice before answering any question. The student must go through the directions and passages given carefully. In order not to miss out important information it is better to underline such important information to come back to it while answering the questions. Always give examples to support the answers and try not to deviate from the main point. Never start answering without a thorough understanding of the correct answer. For math related problems solve the problems using the most little time consuming formulas. By doing so you will be paving way by giving yourself more time to answer other questions.
