Online Test Preparation

REGISTRATION

Registrations can be done through either through U.S. Mail registration (the registration forms should be postmarked by the usual registration deadline or received latest by 5.00pm on the last registration deadline) or Telephone registration (can call between 9.00am to 5.00pm pacific time, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays) or through Internet Registration (should be completed by 5.00pm pacific time on the registration deadline for eligibility and is available, seven days a week, and 24 hours a day).

Registrations submitted after the deadlines, shall be liable to additional registration fee and registration options are limited.

Before Registration – The candidates should review the registration checklist to ensure that all the necessary information for completing the registration process is ready. For any alternative testing arrangements, the request or documentations pertaining to the same should be sent through fax or mail much ahead of the deadline.

Internet Registration – 1) Logon to www.cbest.nesinc.com and select “Register now” option and follow the instructions provided. The email address, credit card information and social security number should be kept ready). The name of the candidate should be entered in the same way as in the government-issued identification.

2) Payment can be made using a credit card (MasterCard or VISA only) or a check card or a debit card that carries the MasterCard or VISA logo so that it can be used without entering the PIN (Personal Identification Number).

3) On completing the Internet registration process, the candidate will receive an email acknowledging the Internet registration. However, the candidate’s registration is confirmed only after receiving a mail, which confirms the registration. The registration confirmation will be sent within one business day on receipt of the registration information.

4) After the registration is processed, and the test site is assigned, the candidate will receive the admission ticket through email. A print out of this should be brought to the test site, and a copy of this can be kept for records.

5) Any requisitions for alternative test arrangements should be submitted through mail or fax before the last date of registration. However, due to space, time and staff constraints, there may not be any assurance regarding the accommodation of the test site.

U.S.Mail Registration – 1) The registration form can be obtained in the printed registration bulletin or can be ordered on the CBEST website by selection Print Bulletin and Forms (PDF).

2) After providing all the necessary information, sign the registration form, and mail it by enclosing the correct payment in the envelope provided. Ensure to check the test dates, registration deadlines and score report date associated with every test date.

3) In case the registration materials are being mailed too close to the registration deadline, the form can be sent through any of the expedited U.S.Postal Services so that the registration materials will reach NES on time.

4) The payment should be made during registration through a personal check, or money order, or cashier’s check. Personal checks are accepted only during regular registration period. A late registration will attract additional fees.

5) The admission ticket will be received within a week before the late registration deadline. Else, contact NES.

Error Registration Notice – In case of incomplete registration forms, or if the correct payment is not enclosed, the registration materials will be returned unprocessed with a letter advising the error and the deadline by which the corrected materials should be received. This could probably result in delay in test date or additional registration fees or may not be accepted if received after the deadline. In case the unprocessed registration materials is obtained after completion of the deadline for registrations, the candidate can still apply during emergency registration period, by abiding by the emergency registration rules including the fees.

Telephone Registration – The candidate can register through telephone during emergency registration periods or during late registration.
