COMPASS Scoring
According to the Tennessee Technological University there is no ‘Pass’ or “Fail’ in the COMPASS test. The results only determine the student’s skills. A sample score report can be viewed.
COMPASS Admission Procedure
Every school has its own admission requirements. So it is better to check with the school you are applying for more details with regard to admission. According to the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR), the basic requirements for students enrolling in the regular freshman course are as follows
- For student below 21 yrs of age, an official ACT or SAT test score must be submitted. In case the student has not taken any of these two tests then he must enroll for the ACT test. For scores older than 3 yrs the sub-scores of ACT will be taken in to consideration.
- For students who are 21 or above all the sections of COMPASS test must be taken.
- For students who are not capable to succeed in any college- level course, will be asked to take the COMPASS test again.
- International students can show their ACT scores.
The COMPASS test is a test for students who are out of college for more than five years and have scored more than 25 in ACT sub-scores. These students must take all the sections of COMPASS test.
