COMPASS Test Preparation

It is better to review basic mathematics skills if they have not used it recently. It is always good to practice formulas, solve problems and keep oneself abreast to face the COMPASS test. The COMPASS test determines the best course suitable for the student taking the test. There is no time limit for the test, so the students can take their own time to finish it. Though it is a computer based test, it is very easy to manage even for people who are not very well versed with computers. The test administrator or the advising staff can be contacted for any doubts during the test. Like for any other test, relax and don’t cram yourself. Try to reach early to complete formalities on time.

To answer the question asked the student needs to read the passages thoroughly. You can always go back to the passages when ever necessary. The answer key can be checked to know if the answers derived are correct or no.

Though the COMPASS test is not timed, it takes about 2 hours to complete. There is no penalty for wrong answers so don’t miss even a single question. No harm in guessing wrong answers. Cheaters will be offended with penalty and imposed with a waiting period before taking the re-test. No aids will be allowed inside the testing hall. A calculator will be provided at the exam hall itself. Scratch papers will also be there to work out problems etc.
