DAT SCORING
The scoring in the DAT test is immediate. When the student gives a written authorization form or if the authorization was given in the DAT registration form the scores are released. Four scores are given based on four sections. The score ranges from 1 to 30. There is no minimum scoring. An average score of 17 is considered as an average score in the DAT test. Anything higher than 18 is presumed to be a competitive score. Within three weeks of the test date, the scores are sent to dental colleges. There is no limit on the number of times one can take a DAT test. The student’s performance is proved by the average academic score range published. The scores are converted in to perceptual average scores also. For example, a scaled score of 15 will be worked out as 40-52 percent on the average scale. A separate score for each sections of Reading Comprehension, Perceptual Ability, Quantitative Reasoning, and each of the science disciplines tested in Survey of Natural Sciences—biology, general chemistry, and organic chemistry will be published. How many ever DAT tests are taken the last four scores only will be considered
