DAT TEST REGISTRATION
The registration for the DAT test can be done online or by mail
Registrations online
For Online registrations use the URL https://www.ada.org. A valid credit card is necessary for processing the fee. The credit card is passed through secured encrypted sessions and no information will be retained by the ADA. Every Tuesday the applications are processed. The applications must reach the office before Monday noon to be processed the next day.
Registration through mail:
The student must submit the registration form from the booklet duly filled up. The booklet can be obtained from the pre-health advisor or on non-availability can be called for at the following telephone numbers (800) 621-8099 or (312) 440-2500. The candidate can also write for one to

Certified cheques are only accepted for payments. Cash and personal cheques are not accepted. For ADA and ASDA members the option of paying through personal cheques is possible. They must mention their membership numbers without fail behind the cheque issued. At no cost any incomplete applications will be accepted. Once the fee processing starts, the eligibility of the student will be sought by Thompson Prometric National Registration Center. This process will be over by the following Friday. An acknowledgement will be sent to the student after affirmation of the details. Once the acknowledgement is received the student must call the number given in the affirmation to register for the date, time and venue for the DAT test. A minimum of two days is necessary to schedule a DAT test. To get a list of the Prometric Testing Centers try www.Prometric.com.
An accepted application is valid for a year. After the lapse of this period the candidate has to re-apply for the DAT test. The DAT test has no fee waiver system.
Retaking the Test
There is no limit for retaking a DAT test provided the candidate submits a new application along with the relevant fee. A minimum of 90 days must lapse from one DAT Test to another. After receiving the fee and application acknowledgement, the candidate can call the Thompson Prometric National Registration Center for the scheduling of re-test date, time and venue.
The results both section wise and total scores are sent to the dental colleges opted by the candidate and also released on the official transcript. Return to Top
Partial Testing
There is not way that the candidate can take the DAT test in parts. All the four sections have to be completed on the same day itself. If any section is not taken then a score of zero will be given. If the candidates wish to re-appear for the DAT test they have missed out in the first chance, they must re-apply with the test fee.
