NCLEX Scoring
The computer does the scoring once as soon as the NCLEX test is completed. The National Council's testing service does the scoring process again. If the candidate as failed the test, a profile stating the performance will be mailed. There is no penalty for guessing answers wrong. The fifteen experimental answers not scored. There is only pass or fail in the NCLEX test. There is o numerical scoring done here. All candidates must answer at least 75 varied item format questions. The maximum number of item format questions, which a candidate can answer, is 265.
Eligibility
Once the state board of nursing receives the application, it will determine whether or not the applicant meets the criteria for the NCLEX test. Only then the registration is complete.
Only after going through the eligibility episode by the DOPL, the candidate will receive an Authorization to test via mail or email depending on the choice of communication during registration. The NCLEX exam takes place at the Pearson Professional Centers. The appointments can be made through the web or telephone. You must have an “Authorization to Test” to schedule an appointment and take the test.
