OAT Test Fee
The total test fee for the OAT test is $189. This fee is inclusive of the OAT test and the dispersal of the score reports to the five respective optometry schools as chosen by the student at the time of registration. The fee collected also covers a personal score copy and a copy to the pre-optometry advisor. For every extra score report a fee of $15 has to be paid. The OAT fee once paid up is not refundable or transferable. Only fee paid up in US dollars is acceptable. For online OAT applications, credit cards can be used. If paid through a credit card the statement will list the charge as “ADA.org or Optometry Test”.
Fee Waivers- Partial
For students who are not able to pay the OAT test fee and who are under severe financial pressure, can claim a 50% test fee. For more than five transcripts the customary charge will surely apply. Written pleas have to be submitted to get fee waivers. A financial information form also should be submitted along with the application form along with a letter from the pre-optometry advisor. These details must be submitted at least two months before the chosen testing date. Only the Optometry Admission Testing Program will decide on the fee waiver. The fee waivers are given on first come first served basis. The waivers can be availed only once.
