TOEIC ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Each University has its own requirements as a procedure for admissions. A few such general requirements are:
- Application card with photograph affixed
- Application form with photograph affixed
- Senior high school graduation Certificate
- Copy of academic record of Senior High School
- Copy of Passport
- Copy of receipt of the payment made for application, and the admission card for 2004 examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students
- Personal statement explaining the reason for studying at that particular university (applicable for B-type application for faculty of Commerce)
Qualifications and Conditions
Candidates who are opting for admissions through special entrance examination for international students must be of foreign origin and should fulfill the following conditions.
The applicants should have completed twelve years of school education in any country except Japan. Applicants who has completed three years or longer as a resident of Japan during junior and senior level high school education, are not eligible for the entrance examination for International students.
The decision of admission will be based on application package evaluation and an interview. Only those applicants, who have passed the application package evaluation round, will be called for an interview.
Documents to be submitted for Application
Statement of Purpose– The candidates can use this portion of application (A$ sized paper-double spaced-single sided) for expanding their qualifications and explain the motivation behind their decision for pursuing education in that particular school.
Two Recommendations – A recommendation is a proof for the Admissions Board regarding the academic and professional performance of the candidate. All candidates should submit two such recommendations. Korea Government and Corporate-sponsored applicants are however can obtain a waiver.
Transcripts – Official Transcript from college /University / graduate school is required. In case the transcript given is not in English language, it should be submitted with a notarized translation in English.
Diploma – A copy of diploma from the university or college or graduate school is required. The copy should be in English or with a notarized translation in English.
English Score Report – Score reports should be submitted for any one of internationally recognized standardized exams like TOEIC, TOEFL, TEPS or IELTS. The score reports should be recent i.e., within the last two years of the projected date of admission. However, applicants who are graduate of universities or colleges with English as the Primary language of instruction can obtain a waiver in this category.
Two Photographs – Two Passport size photographs of the candidate is required.
Employment Verification – This is applicable only for International applicants.
Certificate of Employment – To be produced if applicable.
